You cannot do everything, but you CAN DO SOMETHING.
Being that triathlon has three disciplines, there will always be something you need to improve upon. You cannot do everything, but you can do something. You cannot fix everything at once, but you can start SOMEWHERE!
First, write down your top 3 to 5 triathlon struggles you are facing right now. You might have many more, and you can write them all down if you want, but focus on your 3 to 5. Remember, we are starting somewhere and starting small. Example: I struggle in the open water.
Second, write down what you can’t do in those struggles. Example: I don’t know how to swim freestyle very well.
Third, write down what you CAN do in those struggles. Example could be: I can take swim lessons so I can learn how to become a better swimmer.
The part you want to focus on is what you CAN do! It’s so easy to focus on the ever growing list of things you can’t do that you become immobilized with overwhelm and frustration.
Take some time today to look at the things you cannot and can do. Then make a plan of action focusing on what you can do!👏
